“Loving God & Loving People

Hello Everyone,

The "Deaf Family Conference" in Antigua a week ago last Tuesday was a complete success.  A young deaf woman (21) confessed Jesus Christ as her Savior.  Praise the Lord!  It was a wonderful time with about 44 deaf young people and adults in attendance.  We are already trying to plan the next one.  Two Mennonite couples from Belize came and visited the conference.  They have a deaf ministry called "Cayo Deaf Institute" near Spanish Lookout in Belize.  It was exciting to create friendships between us in our mutual work for the Deaf of Latin America.  Please pray for them and their work in teaching the Deaf.

Moving is such a chore, but we are officially in our new Jutiapa home.  There are boxes everywhere, no closets to put things away and it's 15 degrees warmer than it is in Guatemala City.  Little by little we'll get it all organized.  The devil is trying real hard to discourage and defeat us.  For several days now we have been fighting stomach problems, infections, the new refrigerator broke and the washer machine decided to leak.  But Praise God, we are more than conquerors through Christ who loves us (Romans 8:37).  Please pray for health, safety and victory.

Tomorrow, we begin our class in Jalapa.  Pray for a good day with lots of eager deaf students in attendance.

Please know that we appreciate your prayers and financial support.  This is an exciting time for us and the ministry here in Guatemala.  Praise God that the challenges are never too difficult for Him to overcome.  The future for these deaf young people and adults grows a little brighter every day.

Attached are some pictures we thought you would enjoy.

Blessings,

Greg and Jeanette
