Hello Everyone,

It's been three weeks since we wrote our last report.  Those three weeks have been the busiest ever.  Nineteen people have stayed at our house in the month of July, some for just a night and others for several days.  It's been exciting to meet new friends and tell them about what God is doing in the lives of the Deaf in Jutiapa.  The pictures below are of some of our visitors.  It was a delight to meet Pastor Mauricio and his wife Carmen from the Dominican Republic.  You can check out more details and pictures in our updated website at www.guatemaladeafministries.com

Praise God the funds have been coming in abundantly this summer.  Thank you for your faithful giving.  Please continue to pray for the purchase of property so we can build a training center.  The goal is still to train the Deaf to reach the Deaf.  We found a beautiful 15.5 acre piece of land for sale for $120,000.  It has electricity, water and sewer and is close to the city of Jutiapa.  In the attached picture the property is to the right of the power poles.

Our Mexico trip to renew our visas was a success in spite of our bank cards not working and a flat tire.  But God, Vern and Gilberto took care of us and we made it home in time to get a good nights rest.
