special letter update (1)
Dear Friends,
Thank you for the hundreds of emails, text messages and phone calls, assuring us that we are being prayed for. We are so grateful for your loving support for us in this difficult time.
In Acts 12 it is recorded that Herod put James to death. He then put Peter in prison, planning to do the same to him. “But the church was praying earnestly to God for him.”(v.5) James was killed, Peter was released. The only visible difference – the church was praying for him. Your prayers make a difference. Thank you.
We had our first visit at the oncologist today (June 7). He said that my cancer is serious and advanced but that it can be cured. The next step in my treatment will be an operation to remove a section of my intestine where there is a large tumor. At the same time they will be able to see if the cancer has spread to my liver. If this is the case a part of my liver will also be removed. I will also need to undergo chemo treatment when I have recovered from the operation. We are waiting now to find out the date for my first operation (hopefully sometime in June).
We know we have a long, hard battle before us but we are believing God for a full recovery.
On the positive side – the clinic where I’m being treated is one of the best in Poland for my kind of cancer.
Please pray for complete healing. Pray that we’ll be able to maintain a positive attitude. Pray that we’ll fully trust Him.
Thanks for standing together with us.
